The 10th International Conference of Mechanical Engineers and the honourable Academy of Mechanical Engineering 2021 took place on 28th October at Cankarjev dom Cultural and Congress centre.
Two winners were selected for the Slovene engineering global breakthrough award:
– Mr. Igor Stanonik, vice-chairman of the board of our company
– Mr. Marino Furlan, founder and president of company Intra lighting
In addition, the life’s work award was handed out to:
– Prof. Alojz Poredoš, PhD
This year’s conference focused on Engineering – connecting for sustainable solutions. As Prof. Iztok Golobič, PhD, said: “Changes have become a part of us. New times require new sustainable business strategies, which will benefit the society, environment and economy. Global supply chains have shrunk in a brief period of time, which should serve as a reminder of the importance of a reliable connection and sustainable solutions.”
In his speech at yesterday’s conference, Mr. Igor Stanonik emphasized the urgency of cooperation while focusing on the future, as well as the importance of sustainable activities for the co-shaping of a bright future for us and the future generations.
